We are proud to be part of a coalition of churches that work with CCSC, a grassroots, community-based non-profit organization that serves Houston’s inner city. They provide vocational training, job networking services and emergency food and rent services to 27 Zip codes in the area. Like most nonprofits, CCSC depends on community volunteers to help make all of their programs a success. We have members who serve weekly and monthly in Emergency Services, and we also participate in seasonal events.
Each Fall CCSC provides school supplies and uniforms for over 5000 school children in the Houston area. We invite you to join us this year to help sort and distribute school supplies and clothing. This is a great service opportunity for young children and families.
For more than 20 years CCSC has brought holiday joy to families in the Houston area. Thanks to toy drives and donations, parents are allowed to “shop” in a store of new books and toys for their children. Each family is also given food for the holiday meal. Volunteers are needed to help collect donation, sort books, and organize toy drives. CCSC also needs smiling faces who will work as “Santa’s Helpers” as parents select toys for their children.
